That sandwich is more important to Marx than Nietzsche’s feelings. But, as Nietzsche himself says, what else is love but “the understanding and rejoicing in the fact that another person lives, acts, and experiences otherwise than we do.” Sure, he might have a reputation as a bit of an uptight, misogynist Grecophile, but the fact is Nietzsche has a heart too, a heart that can be broken.

And on the topic of love, how come every movie can’t be about Jane Austen?
